History

Glenbrook was established in 1991 and has an excellent reputation in the wider community.

The principal shareholders are Peter White and Wayne Hanley. Peter (a registered Nurse) and Wayne (a building contractor) were first introduced in 1988 when Peter was looking for a parcel of land to build what has now become the Birchleigh Residential Care Centre. Wayne was invited to price the first stage of this $5 million facility and his company won the contract which was completed on time and on budget.

Their relationship lead to a vision to build what is now Glenbrook Apartments 'Freedom to enjoy life'. As Operational Managing Director, Peter has been charged with researching the markets, adapting to changes, implementing management systems which objectively measures the business performance, and ensuring that the village offers superior services and facilities to its residents.

As Managing Director of Projects, Wayne is responsible for co-ordinating all planning, construction and development of Glenbrook Apartments. He is charged with future proofing Glenbrook Apartments using technology and materials that will:

• Minimise energy costs including lighting and heating.
• Minimise the on going maintenance and to ensure Glenbrook Apartments remains a desirable place to reside in the years to come.

Peter and Wayne's vision is very much summed up in this catch phrase. "They have invested millions into Glenbrook Apartments to make this Community unsurpassed in New Zealand". Peter and Wayne both believe that Chatsford and Glenbrook Apartments are unique and now offer the finest value of any community in Australasia.
