Meet the Highlanders

Recently the residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon where they had the opportunity to meet a few of the Highlanders Management team, and some of the players.

This afternoon entailed speeches which enlightened everybody on the insiders perspective of the Super 12 competition and some personal stories. To the residents delight they then had a chance to meet the players on a more on-on-one basis.

This was a dream afternoon for all of our fanatic Highlander supporters and rugby fans, was finished off on a high note when Seilala Mapusua played everybody a classical tune on the piano.

Country Theme Night

The Country Theme night was an entertaining evening for all, with a variety of acts. The Community Center was decked out with straw bails, oil skin jackets, checked shirts, gumboots and other farming essentials such as piklets with jam and cream.

The debate held proved to be one of the highlights of the evening on the controversial topic 'City living is better than the country life', where a lot of valid points and entertaining views arose.

But this was only a start to a great night out as entertainers sang well known country music. The images below show a few of the highlight points of the evening.
